characters: Leafy shoot cylindric, 2-3 m tall. Leaves sessile to petiolate, lamina
lanceolate, deep green above and green with pinkish shade beneath, glabrous.
Inflorescence erect from the base of leafy sheath. Peduncle 1-2 m long, pale
green with pinkish shade, glabrous. Spike (including flower) 14 x 12 cm,
ovoid. Bracts spathulate, concave, deep pinkish tinge, glabrous. Flowers
4.5-5.2 cm long, labellum deep red with yellow margin. |
