Uses
:
It is used for the treatment of athlete's foot and acne. It is effective in treating ozena, haemorrhoids, pyorrhoea, otitis media, boils and cancers, all kinds of inflammatory diseases and atopic dermatitis.
Key botanical characters :
Perennial climbers; stems sparsely pubescent or glabrous. Leaflets 6-18 x 3-9 cm, elliptic or ovate-elliptic, base cuneate, apex acute or acuminate; stipules deciduous. Racemes 15-37 cm long, tuberculate. Flowers 3 cm long; pedicels 2-4 mm long; bracteoles obtuse. Calyx tube sparsely pubescent; upper lobes 4-5 mm long, turncate; lower 3 mm long. Corolla pink; suborbiclar; wings long-clawed. Pods linear-oblong. Seeds oblong, compressed, white.
