:
The plant is extensively used as a febrifuge and tonic. It promotes intelligence, enhances memory and retention, reduces stress, anxiety, depression, confusion and induces peaceful sleep.
Key Botanical Characters: 
Small prostrate much branched villous herbs; branches radiating from rootstock. Leaves broadly elliptic to oblong-lanceolate. Flowers solitary or paired, at axils; pedicels to 5 mm long, silky hairy; Calyx lobes 2-3 mm long, lanceolate, silky hairy. Corolla rotate, subentire, blue. Ovules 2 in each cell; styles 2, each longitudinally 2-fid. Capsule globose, 2-valved. Seeds usually 4, minute.
