Open localities and edges of disturbed forests in the plains and from MSL to 700 m, usually in marshy or semi-marshy areas.

Key Botanical Characters          

Rhizome underground long creeping, densely covered by hairs. Petiole brown, rachis twining, similar to petiole. Leaves climbing, bipinnate. Leaflets opposite, elliptic in outline, pale green in colour. Sporangia yellowish-brown, short stalked, crowded on the lobes of fertile leaflets..
