Key Botanical Characters   :
Shrub villous throughout, the hairs usually multicellualr;. Leaves Simple,alternate oblong-lanceolate, apex acute, base attenuate, hirsute; Flowers from the upper leaf axils;Petals bright yellow, suborbicular  emarginate, with a claw 1-3 mm long.    Stamens twice as many as the sepals; ovary 4-celled, ovules numerous. Capsule  thin walled ,oblong, slightly 4-angled. seeds in several rows in each locule.
