Botanical Characters :
Stout herbs; stems thick and very hairy.
Leaves elliptic-oblong or lanceolate, base attenuate, apex acuminate, densely
strigose tomentose on both sides; petiole 1-2 cm long; ocrea 1.2-2.5 cm long,
long-tubular, truncate, strigose, bristle ciliate. Flowers white in panicled
racemes, 3.5-7.5 cm long. Bracts hispid and ciliate. Stamens 7-8. Styles 2.
Nut , biconvex, shining, black.
