Key
Botanical Characters:
Creeping or suberect marshy herbs; stem terete, pubescent
along one line. Leaves scattered, elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate, acute at
base, glabrous; sheath tubular, mouth oblique, hairy. Panicle 3-6 cm long;
axis and branches pubescent. Flowers many,regular, bisexual. Sepals,ovate,
pubescent. Petals, obovate, glabrous, rose coloured. Stamens 6, Ovary
3-celled; ovule solitary in each cell. Capsule broadly ovoid; seeds elliptic,
wrinkled, grey.
