Habitat	:	River banks, on granite stones.
Uses	:	Shoots eaten after boiling, dried them as a tea and a thickening powder.
Key Botanical Characters :                      Rhizome short creeping with erect branches. Leaves minute, scaly at the nodes. Strobilus terminal, produced on separate special branches.
