Vines; the stems herbaceous, pubescent to glabrate; perennial. Leaves ovate to broadly ovate, 3-6 cm long, broadly cordate, apically acuminate, glabrate. Inflorescences cymose, mostly with 1-2 flowers open at any time. Flowers on peduncles mostly longer than the leaves; sepals ovate to lanceolate, 7-8 mm long, 4 mm broad, acute to acuminate, pubescent; corolla usually blue, sometimes white, campanulate to occasionally subrotate, 2 cm long. Fruits capsular, globose, 4 mm long, glabrous; seeds brown, 2.5 mm long, glabrous.
