Key botanical characters: Herb up to
4 m tall. Stem base maroon shading to dark reddish olive green further up the
stem. Stem hairy at nodes with leaves. Leaves petiolate, petiole hairy;
lamina narrowly lanceolate, (spiraled), dark green & glabrous above,
lighter reddish-green & pubescent below. Inflorescence terminal, pendent,
with peduncle dark maroon; bracts maroon. Flower mauvish pink; lip with
yellow stripe. |
